My name is Gemma
I am a fully licensed & insured Permanent Makeup artist in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
I work from a warm & comfortable private cabin in my back garden that was previously used for my gel nail business, Get It Nailed, which has moved in to my conservatory.
I have always been artistic, this is evident with over 20 years of nail art.
I am very excited to be extending my passions whilst helping people to feel confident & happy when looking in a mirror!
My Training
I am lucky enough to be trained 1-on-1 with multi award winning industry expert Katy Jobbins & crucial business guidance from Katy's husband, Paul.
Being Katy's only student meant that her attention was fully on me. She could see where I needed help the most so we could focus on my personalised training.
I asked every question that popped in to my head, made many many notes & watched every move she made.
Paul's guidance on business building, planning & organising my bookings & socials is vital to start in a whole new field when I wanted to focus on the part I am best at, the makeup.
This is the best training out there & I couldn't be happier that I took this step.
I have also owned my own Gel nail company, Get It Nailed, since 2003.
I have a strong passion for art, I have 20+ years experience working with clients & I am perfectionist.

We get you booked in for a FREE no-obligtion consultation in my private cabin clinic.
This is where we will do a patch test - this is essential so we can make sure you have no allergic reaction to my products.
Bring any past photo's of yourself if there is a look you want to revive.
Then we colour match your brows to your hair & skin tone or your lips to your favourite lippie!
We will measure your brows & talk about the brow, liner &/or lip style you like.
Finally, we draw on & perfect your look!
Then we can just chat, get to know each other better & remove any worries you may have by answering any questions.
Hypoallergenic, Vegan & Cruelty Free Pigments
I only use products that I truly trust in.
Tina Davies & Permablend pigments products are all hypoallergenic, vegan & cruelty free,
100% safe & sterile.
Rich & vivid colours with the highest level of lightfastness, this means colour pigments fade at the same rate, ensuring your colour fades evenly & will not turn to a strange colour.
They also have the longest lasting colour retention in the permanent makeup industry. Which will mean that you will not need colour boosters as soon as other pigments on the market.
All of these colours are blendable to suit all skin tones & ethnicities. Highly concentrated to cover older, faded colour & are even able to cover undesirable, previously applied permanent makeup.

The Process
Consultation
The free consultation is usually done in advance to the treatment, however, I know this isn't always possible, especially if you live far away.
If you wear makeup, come in with it done as you normally would, I can get an idea of the look you aim for.
I will explain the procedure in full, including how to look after your permanent makeup whilst it's healing.
Measure & draw on your brows to the shape & shade that suits your face shape & colourings to achieve your ideal look.
Once you are completely happy with what your results will look like, we will complete a patch test & book you in.
If you live far away, I can post instructions & the patch test equipment to you.
The patch test needs to be done a minimum of 12 hours before any treatment can be performed.
A £50 deposit is required to secure your booking, this will be deducted from the final amount.
Treatment
If we didn't get the medical & consent forms filled in prior to your appointment, this will be done before we start.
Topical anaesthetics are used to numb the area being treated so that you are as comfortable as possible.
I will pencil on your eyebrows, like in the consultation, ready for your approval.
We will choose your colour together & only once you are happy, I will start to insert the pigment in to the top layers of your skin whilst constantly applying anaesthetic.
The discomfort is minimal & most clients are surprised how comfortable they are throughout the procedure.
We will go through the aftercare in your consultation & again before you leave after the treatment, I will give you an instruction & 'what to expect' card along with a little pack with aftercare cream & cotton buds to apply.
It is important to follow the aftercare instructions to achieve the best possible results.
Top-up
A complimentary top-up treatment is booked for around 6 weeks after the initial procedure.
We repeat the stages as before but only filling in any gaps & touching up any areas that are faint or patchy, making any necessary final adjustments.
Colour Booster
Just as permanent hair colour fades, so does permanent makeup.
Facial treatments, sun exposure, skin care products, medical conditions & unfortunately age all play a part in a gradual breakdown of the colour pigments.
Permanent makeup will last 2-3 years but it is recommended you have a colour booster after 12-18 months to keep your colour looking vivid & freshening up any fading.
A colour boost is usually only one appointment & for returning customers is half the price of initial procedure, if you are having a colour boost & it is your first time to me then it will be £150 - £195 depending on what style you choose.
